"Magic Happens" is a cruising catamaran (12.2 metre Hitchiker) operating out of Brisbane. Primarily used for informal and family sailing explorations, we also conduct sail training for groups of students completing their silver or gold Duke of Edinburgh's award expeditions.

We are seeking all types of interested people to become voluntary crew members, maintenance helpers, benefactors or expedition participants. Introductory expeditions and working bees are generally conducted within the sheltered waters of Moreton Bay, and are generally packed full of fun and excitement to help balance the scrubbing of the decks. We aim to be sailing the Queensland coast every season so are keen to develop longer term relationships with capable crew - please contact us on 0439 761 426 or by email by the link below.

For Duke of Edinburgh's award groups, expeditions can be arranged to suit your needs. and we would be happy to help you design a suitable program. The focus of all our expeditions is on personal skills development and the group process. Typically a weekend sailing experience includes sail and navigation training, snorkelling, kayaking, beach and swimming activities, night sailing and fine food preparation in the relative comfort of a well appointed cruising craft. Groups or individuals particularly interested in developing a series of extended coastal and potentially overseas expeditions (think service project in East Timor or Solomon Islands) are greatly encouraged to contact us to discuss this further.
